Retail Space

This Project was for my Space Planning Class. The class was divided into groups. We had to figure out what we were going to sell in our retail space, who "the wallet" was, and the best way to present that product to our clientele. When we got all the details figured out we had to make a 3-D model of the space. My group designed a store for futuristic eye wear.

3-D Design

This was the final project for my SketchUp class. For this project my professor handed out a floor plan. I then had to create that floor plan in SketchUp. It was up to me to decide how the interior was designed as long as I did not change the locations of the walls. I also had to have certain elements such as specific amounts of seating, a table, and the wet bar area. I also had to include furniture that I had drawn for other projects throughout the semester. There is an area that I made a secret reading room. On the original floor plan there were stairs in that area, however, when stairs were drawn in that location, the area was too small for the stairs. My professor told the class to just make it a closet or something of that nature. Not wanting it to be just a boring closet, I made it a secret room for some quiet reading.

The Burch Home project was one my Studio 1 class did for a real client. The Burch Family wanted to redo their entire home. They wanted to keep the design and style true to the period in which the home was originally built. My group went to their existing home and measured everything, then I put it in to Auto CAD, and everyone was assigned a specific part of the SketchUp model.  I drew the tile on the bathroom floor and the kitchen back-splash. I also drew some of the elements in both the bedroom and living room.
